Professional Standards
It must be emphasised that TSI provides professional trauma intervention by professionally trained and qualified personal. The personal are bound by the Ethical code of conduct of The South African Integrated Traumatological Council.
Of importance too, to clients is that TSI does not use volunteers in the provision of services. It believes, from an ethical and professional perspective that efficient and effective trauma treatment cannot be left to amateurs, no matter how well intentioned they may be. Unfortunately there has been a tendency in South Africa to consider the treatment of non¬ pathological trauma as less worthy of proper intervention than physical trauma.
